Squigs Steps Into the Boozy, Brawling World of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

The 50th-anniversary revival of Edward Albee’s modern classic Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is serving up strong drinks and dark drama at Broadway’s Booth Theatre. Starring Amy Morton and Tracy Letts, Virginia Woolf tells the story of an a middle-aged couple in a college town who invite a young teacher and his wife over for a drunken night they’ll never forget. Broadway.com resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson took a trip to George and Martha’s cluttered Carthage home to witness the debauchery, then sketched a tumultuous portrait of Morton as Martha, Carrie Coon as Honey, Madison Dirks as Nick and Letts as George.
